Master Cadet Bookmark and Share    

The appointment of Master Cadet is the highest qualification which can be attained by a member of the Royal Canadian Army Cadets.

A candidate for the appointment of Master Cadet must meet the below basic requirements:

After Receiving the Appointment

A cadet appointed as a Master Cadet is eligible for the following:

  • Appointment as a Company Sergeant Major at an Army Cadet Summer Training Centre
  • Any other advanced training such as regional, domestic, or international expeditions.

The Badge

Slightly elliptical in shape, rifle green background, with merrowed rifle green edge. Star centered among five maple leaves, beneath a pair of crossed swords topped with a single maple leaf. All elements of the badge are in CF Gold and are raised.

Wearing of the Badge

The Master Cadet Badge replaces the badge of the National Star Certification Exam on the right sleeve of the tunic. Any Army Cadet Leader Instructor course badges are also removed when wearing the Master Cadet Badge.
