Aim

The aim of the General Training Course is to familiarize cadets with life at a Cadet Summer Training Centre and to further develop the fundamentals of Air Cadet Proficiency training. Cadets shall return to their squadrons prepared to continue in proficiency level training with an enhanced awareness of followership, uniform care, and personal attributes, such as self-confidence, communication, teamwork and a sense of responsibility. Cadets attending the General Training Course will also participate in citizenship tours, familiarization flights, air rifle marksmanship activities and a field exercise. This course is 2 weeks long in duration, and cadets completing this course will receive a General Training Course Qualification Badge.

Prerequisites

  • Complete Proficiency Level One
  • Have a Commanding Officer’s recommendation
