Thanks, it definetly is, I'll give you some stats on the new building. The parade square is 22.86m (75 ft) x 12.19m (40ft) our old parade square was 21.64m (71ft) x 9.44m (31ft), so its a little bit longer, and alot wider. The deck has two huge bay doors, one at each end of the building.

Our three classrooms are larger then our old three classrooms. Our galley is huge compared to our old one. Our Band room, has a storage area above it, that might double as an extra office.

Our Administration has a nice new office, with a nice desk that the contractor left behind. Our supply is much larger and once we renovate it, we'll have plenty of room for our gear. Our CO no longer has a small office, he now has enough room to move around in, and sit more than one person.

The infamous heating that we used to have at Admiral Nelles with the huge boiler fans and the huge hanging gas heaters are no more, we now have brand new duct work through the building to provide cheaper, and more importanly quieter heat to all of the building. Our wardroom/conference room is much nicer then it was at the old ship, and while a little bit smaller, it looks much nicer.

We miss the old ship, but the new one is beautiful, and we've been working our butts off over the last few weeks to get it ready for training which is back this week. If you've got any other questions let any of the Nelles on here know, and we'll get back to you.

Indeed PO, you did have too much pizza, but remember, the young OC is on your tail, and I think in a year or so, will defeat you.

Admiral Nelles, eating contests are our business.

You should probably ask someone with authority to make these decisions before you do stuff like this.

What is the purpose to do this out of the blue?

Besides, Mr. Bresnahan is the primary Assistant Band O...Mr. Vellenga is subordinate to him...he's more an instructor. Ask N/Cdt Messecre to confirm.

Actually, they are both my assistants in term of the Band, they both deal with different sections of the Band, Brass with CI Vellenga, and Percussion with CI Bresnahan.

No PO next year will not be better. We had an officers meeting yesterday and decided that next year will be horrible, no more fun activities, no more fun period. We've had enough of it, the fun threshold has been exceeded, and we are tired it, the weekend was the last straw in terms of fun. From now on the officers will be sullen and miserable, and ensure that no one has a good time at cadets. **ENDS SARCASM!!**

It was truly an excellent weekend, even the rain and thunderstorms didn't end the fun. I had the best sleep I've had in a while. Good job to the POs you made the weekend a complete success!

Next year will definetly be much better, it'll be awesome!

Hey Admiral Nelles,

How about some pictures of the new building all finished and decked out? The inside? offices? deck? classrooms? outside, et cetera...?

There's a painting party this weekend, new pics will probably be up afterwards. Although I'm not sure what colour... maybe battleship grey, that would be nice. Perhaps Yellow... then we could call the Ship a Submarine, and I think everyone knows what that means.

Sea

If we had the yellow submarine our band would definately have to lean to play it and right after O Canada on parade nights we would play our anthem lol. I hope they will paint the out line on the deck too. Battleship grey would be nice, Sir do you know if we are going to be painting the back hall on the way down to the NL area?

What could be better than IMP's, mud, rain, fog, sunshine, and throwing (er...I mean...handing) kids off the top of an abseiling tower while you watch the rest of them getting lost on orienteering and quietly burying their mistakes in First Aid.

Getting on the belaying line and watching kids overcome their fears was inspiring.

Lots of fun!
