Not a promotion, but I will officially be a Sea Cadet next weekend! On to the long path from SR to, hopefully, PO1 by the time I graduate (I'll only have three years in the Division, but I'm one of the first Cadets, so I might get promoted faster). Hooray for me!

Yet another promotion! Today I was promoted to the last and highest enlisted rank in the corps. I'm on my track to become a cadet officer. And I know promotions go fast where I'm from, but hey, it's the way we do it. It's 4 years of every day school and after school work. [:

But as of now, I am c/ Chief Master Sergeant.
    That or c/Chief Barredo. [:

Retreat? Hell, we just got here!

    It's a bit late...

But I returned from HMCS ONTARIO a bit over a a week and a half ago. I had originally applied for D&C but somehow my paperwork got messed up and I ended up in Admin. It was definitely an uneventful summer but I had fun even though I ended up getting accused of doing a lot of things which I never did, aha...

With that, my cadet career has come to an end. I most likely won't be returning to Cadet World until I either become a CI or join as a CIC Officer. I've had a long run and I thank everyone here who has helped guide and teach me from the days that I first joined about 2 years ago. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I would not be who I am today if it were not for the strenuous efforts of many officers, cadets, and lastly, my family. If anyone ever needs to contact me, I'm just a click away.

    Stay classy CW.

Such an awesome first night returning to 166. Saw all my friends and we all have new skills to teach our squadron that we gained on summer courses. Not only that but the first night also saw a large amount of promotions and level advancements. There were many and I don;t wish to name individuals without permission so I'll just congratulate the individual classes. So, it is my honour to congratulate:

Cadet to LAC: Our former level 1B Class (they joined in January) who are now level 2s

LAC to Corporal: Our former level 1A Class (Joined in September) also level 2s

Corporal to Flight Corporal: Our former level 2s, now all level 3s and the squadron's freshly minted Junior NCOs. It is awesome thinking about this, because they were the recruit intake formed after mine. It has been a feeling like no other watching them develop from recruits into NCOs.

Lastly Flight Corporal to Sergeant: All of us level 3s were advanced to level 4, and were promoted to Sergeant.

Including yours truly, it will be awesome training year this year, and I intend to learn as much as possible, take initiative, keep serving with my awesome squadron and have some fun along the way.

Promoted to Sergeant tonight! I was also given the badge and slip-ons by Cadet World's very own resident Mr. Rob Gill, which was very cool.

Congrats to everyone who has received promotions in the past couple weeks!!

I had the opportunity to join a Cadet Unit down here in Kingston as a CV, but unfortunately with school it is just too much to be instructing and going to cadets each week, so unfortunately I have stepped away from the Cadet program after 7 years...temporarily! However I am also continuing my application for RegForce!

Good luck to everyone with school and cadets this year!!
