The Soaring Association of Canada (SAC) will be awarding another $10,000 in bursaries across Canada for youth <25. Contact your local SAC club by May if you are interested. More details on SAC's web-site.

In Ontario, Youth Flight Canada will be awarding $10,000 in scholarships at York Soaring and $1000 in scholarships at SOSA for youth members <21 who are licenced glider pilots. Applications are due by May 1. Both York and SOSA are open 7 days a week from June-Sept. and having camping facilities for use by youth and other club members. Applications are due by May 1, 2016.

Female glider pilots of all ages can also apply to scholarships from the Women's Soaring Pilot's Association (WSPA). You must pay a $10 membership fee to join but very few people apply to these scholarships (2-3 people per year for the last 3 years).

All the above opportunities will allow you to expand your soaring skills, try flying new types of gliders, and build solo time to help you achieve passenger and instructor ratings.
