Air Basic Parachutist Course Prereqrisites AIR CADET

    Hello,

I am an Air cadet interested in doing the Bacic Parachutist course. May I ask what pre reqrisites are required for anyone (including fitness and levels). Is Gold Star equivalent enough to Proficiency Level 4 that an Air Cadet could have the potential to go on the course? Or would a transfer of elements have to occur?

You will need to transfer to Army Cadets.

I would transfer sooner than later. Upon completion of Silver Star, Cadets begin taking part in the National Star of Excellence program where they earn points. These points have a direct correlation to whether or not you are selected for various senior Courses and activities. To further your chances in this regard, I would suggest making the switch between Year 3 and 4. Would also suggest ensuring you take an Instructor course to keep up with the rest of the applicants.

    Best of luck!
