Alright, thank you everyone for helping to clear this up. I'll pass it along to my squadron.

Yes, CadetPat is fully authorized for wear by Army Cadets, with beret and insignia. My corps switched over this year to the new FTU. It`s different, but it`s neat.

That's awesome. So the new FTU is available for purchase through Logistiks?
Maybe I'll talk to my QM and see if we can save some money versus CadetPat. I like CadetPat but its pretty pricey. Especially when cadets that quit don't return it.

My Crops hasn't purchased CADETPAT. Speaking of that, my Corps hasn't either. I like the look of the OG-107 better anyways.

It is a tad bit pricey, my corps has a system almost of how they do it. I wear my OD's right now, only because I haven't received the new CadetPat, but it should be cool once I do get it

I don't really see a problem with ACU (if that is the uniform you are referring to? Is it digital camo?) In my squadron (11 Lethbridge) more cadets wear combats than don't, mostly ACU (including myself), BDU woodland, and civilian forms of CADPAT and less popular different types of russian, dutch, and german patterns. Really in our squadron you only can't wear the actual CADPAT but since it's illegal to own real CADPAT you can basically wear anything. Going back to the fact that the ACU is still a actual uniform the american army, I see it as being safer than many other types of clothing. I own a set of ACU combats and they're fireproof, water proof, windproof, and extremely warm which is great for any FTX so I would actually recommend them if one was looking for a good set of combats

    Berets with Combats?

I didn't want to make another thread about combats, so I think I'd ask here. I bought combats at my local surplus store to get ready for my FTX at the end of the month. I might possible be a staff/Syndicate leader. Do I have to buy a beret in order to wear my slip-ons?

    Thanks!

No - you could also wear the cadet issued tilley, toque or wedge.

Sir, Wedge on a FTX? What if I had none of the above, sir?

If you don't have a beret, your elemental headdress, your toque OR your tilley, I think you have bigger problems to worry about.

All 3 are typically issued. Your trying to say you don't have a wedge that you wear with your DU?

Yeah, I guess so. Hopefully I'll become a syndicate leader or staff...

I have a wedge, no tilley, no toque, and no beret.

    Sorry for double posting.

Okay, so you are able to wear your wedge in the field. I did it for one FTX where I did not own a beret, now I have one but no longer have a use for it

the toque and tilley part of your scale of issue. You're supposed to be issued them.

I've never seen anyone wear a cadet wear a wedge at a FTX yet. Maybe I'll ask my seniors this week.

    Thanks for the input everyone!

Sir, does that mean I can ask my supply officer for those two pieces of uniform?
