    Question Air Cadet March Book

Does anyone know where I can get hold of a copy of the Air Cadet March Book (physical or digital) without having to go through the ranks up to the officers?

    Thanks a lot

I think he means the book with all of the marches, I.E. the music played by air cadets.

Yes that would make much more sense. I'll look around.

If you can (and not too much trouble), it wouldn't hurt to have the army cadet and sea cadets versions too.

    Thanks.

By "March Music" do you mean like the "RAF" march past? I'm not sure what the army cadets and sea cadets have

I think it's called the Air Cadet March Book (as I saw on a thread previously)

Yeah, same. I don't really like the versions of the RAF march past on it as there are only 4 parts (A, B,C,D).

It's 85 MB so I'm gonna upload it to MediaFire and put the link here later.

Is publically sharing this music legal?

I think it should be okay because we can basically get this from our sqn. Plus, no one really goes here except cadets so it doesn't make a difference. Just more convenient.

You can get it at your squadron, yes, but that's not the question. I'm not even sure it's legal to photocopy the music in the March Books, let alone share it publicly over the internet.

Strictly speaking, if it's not legal, it doesn't matter who frequents this website or qho is downloading it. That, and the document is posted on a different, non-cadet related website and only linked to here.

That's strange. If it's not legal to photocopy, how are we allowed to print from a digital version to distribute to our bands?

I'm not sure if it's legal or not. That was why I asked the question - I just think it's prudent to find out about something like this prior to it being shared publicly.

I figure if the only way my squadron could get it was on a CD, then I can assume it's legal to reproduce and distribute as long as I'm not making a profit.

    You should never assume anything.

I agree. Most people only consider it copyright infringeing if you make profit off of it.
