I used to flirt with the old ladys and wink at the daughters... I used to make a killing... But then again we got commission so it was in my interest to hustle. And no matter how hot it was I always wore my pretty tunic imaculately pressed and showed off all my pretty badges.

Best of luck in your tagging days...

Scale... depends on how much you brought in...

    2% under 50.00
    4% under 100.00
    10 ovr 100.00

this was the 1980's and people liked to give back then.

*had. he aged out last year. I honestly don't even remember his name, and now I feel terrible

Um, he basically did the same training as our CHAPP officer, and if we had any "social- related" problems we could talk to him, if that was more comfortable than talking to our Div PO. He was a really nice guy, so most people went to him with problems within our corps than their own Div PO. Basically, if you felt anybody was being unfair to you, you'd go and talk to him, and then if he couldn't do anything about it, he'd tell out CHAPP officer and it would be dealt through with the chain of command.

That one seems to go around a lot at my school. There's the kids/classmates that go "Oh hey cool, you're in Cadets", and also there's the kids that act all "ewww you're in Cadets?" when you tell them.

As much as i love cadets, its not a big selling point for anyone else.

Interesting to have a CHAP PO at a corps. I don't really know how much I like that idea but that's not what the threads about.

Today, when I told my friend (who didn't know what Cadets was) I was in Air Cadets.

    "So you're in the Army?!"

yeah, I get that quite a bit and I say no it's not the army it's the Royal Canadian Air Cadets! I think before people say anything about air cadets, they should go there, try it out, learn about it and THEN say something about it

I try to be diplomatic about it. I usually say something like: "No, sir, this isn't army green, it's air force blue". Usually they come back with a "oh, I'm sorry I didn't know." It's when I get the "Whatever" that the laser beams shoot out of my eyes.

    Band sucks!

    Now, stereotypes about cadets:
    • Cadets are for wussies and just a way to get cheap community service hours
    Band doesn't suck!!!
and I have NEVER used a single hour of community service at Cadets if I required community service, my 40 hours for school, I am done! and none of them are from Cadets! also for Duke Of Ed, I havent used a single hour of community service from Cadets......Community Service hours at Cadets should be considered Citizenship, not community service!
Do the hours because you enjoy it, not because you need them!

Yeah, some of my friends don't know I'm in Cadets......A lot of people don't actually..... The only ones of my friends that know are those who ask "Hey, do you wanna hang out tonight?" and if its on Cadet Nights, I respond, the classic "Sorry, I can't, I have Cadets!"
