Or possibly, CW could just publish a list of things that have been argued about enough already... Like, a 'do not post any more threads about ___' list.
History Lesson. Look at my join date. People here change. They were not around for the same argument before. Your idea has merit for today, but by tomorrow there will be new people and it will be (if closed) at the end of the list, where noone goes. And then the new people will not learn what this site has to teach.

The problem with that would be new users who don't necessarily know CW well probably wouldn't notice or read the list before posting the new thread asking about it.

That... and I don't close threads without a reason. Ever. There really isn't any point. If any particular user wishes not to discuss the topic anymore, he/she just doesn't have to visit the thread. But if someone DOES want to discuss it then there is every reason to leave it open.

I would suggest washing them by hand so they don't get destroyed. Try some oxy clean or something. I just bring some rope to work and weave a new one when I get bored.

Understandable that those positions on parade wear lanyards and webbing. Though I suppose it would make more sense if the officer positions wore lanyards and such, and the NCM positions didn't. Or maybe the officer positions wear webbing with lanyards, and the NCM positions like SWO simply wear lanyards.

It would make the distinction between the two a little more obvious.
