Practice Drill Rifles?
Hey guys i was wondering for all of those squadrons out there if you guys have a rifle drill team, and what do you use to practice, our sqd is considering getting some but they would not want them used for practice as i was hoping on setting up a "monkey" drill team, if you would let me know what you use or where you got them if you found dummy rifles, that would be muchly apresiated thanks alot

in my air cadet squadron of about 75ish(not to sure), whe have 25+ cadets that know it due to the fact we have a Drill Team With Arms that competed for the first time this year. So this is the time air cadets do rifle drill

Like Mr. Rapos said 58 has close to a third of our cadets who know how to do rifle drill.
Now if you asked who knew how to do it well..................SLt Thomas Watson

We had just a regular team for zones competion that got us double gold ..but then for our annual we tossed in the rifles into our routine and we used the flag party rifles for practicing it was pretty sweet.

I know rifle drill fairly well. Its really easy once you get the fundamentals down. BTW, don't get practise rifles unless they're the Lee Enfields. Otherwise it won't be much of a practise to prepare you to use the Lee Enfield DP rifles used for competition.

Wood rifle VS Lee Enfiled Big Diffence
822 has the rifles form cadet kelly, 2 white rifles with a "fake" working bolt. And yeah back in 2002,2003 ish (yes I am level 5 by the way) I got taught on a Lee Enfield and I have to say it is a completely differnt experience than praticeing with a practice rifle. But are lee enfileds got taken away and C-7's are cool rifles but I think Lee Enfiled drill looks better sharp and more professinal than c-7. Plus from what I know c-7 are not to be used but I have seen them used (not by 822). Also with a real Lee Enfiled it would get treated with more respect and not get dinged and scaped and banged around like our white ones do. and force people to learn proper drill insted of focusing so much time on monkey drill which is not even allowed in competition. Well gotta go to day 2 of 822's senior NCM weekend now
