• Barrie 102 (Silver Fox) Celebrates Two Hadfields

Kelly Hadfield, former Squadron Warrant Officer of 102 Barrie (Silver Fox) Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron, returned to her former Cadet unit on Nov 25th to speak to the current Cadets about how Cadets helped her with her current endeavours: Ms. Hadfield is the Founder and Executive Director of Ghana Medical Help, a charitable organization she established in 2010 to advance the quality and availability of basic health care in northern Ghana. She credits Air Cadets with helping develop her organizational and leadership skills to be able to create her charity.

If you thought that name seemed familiar, you are correct. Kelly Hadfield is also the niece of another former Air Cadet: Canadian astronaut Colonel (Ret.) Chris Hadfield. The following evening, four lucky 102 Sqn Cadets got to meet Col Hadfield at a fundraising dinner hosted by the Barrie Rotary Club.

102 Silver Fox is the Squadron of Cadet-World staff member J-P Johnson.
