• Winnipeg Cadet Corps Celebrates 100th

    407 Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders RCACC received a special greeting from His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Canadian Army Cadets, extending his best wishes on their centennial anniversary.

    A number of key events are scheduled for Saturday, April 20th, including a public ceremony exercising the Cadet Corps' Freedom of the City of Winnipeg. The Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba, the Honourable Philip S. Lee and Brigadier-General Martin Galvin, Commander of 2 Canadian Air Division, will join the Cameron Cadets at a 100th Anniversary dinner Saturday evening. Brigadier-General Galvin will be the Presiding Officer of a Change of Command Ceremony after the dinner, that will see Captain Kerry Walker assume Command of the Queen’s Own Highlanders Army Cadet Corps from outgoing Commanding Officer Captain Andrew Flook.
