You critize your university professor's teaching technique because the he or she does not use games to teach their student, like you did when your where an instructor at cadets. Actually....I happen to find such evaluation techniques very useful for the evaluations I do on my profs. Much easier to rip them apart while still sounding polite :D

the class we got to do evaluation for the incompetent one. That was one of the rare times I got there on time...
Then again I don't hate her much... she just lacks skills thats all... she gave me higher mark than almost everyone so I'm happy

For 23, thanks to all for your comments. All that I know is that I will use the teaching techniques that I learned from my CO, and during my CQÉO (oups, I mean BOQ, and seeing that my CO was my senior instructor, the teaching technique that I learned at the Eastern RCIS did not change), when I will become a high school history teacher.
Good day to all!

29. You've been in the movement for so long, that you will walk down the street, and someone that you don't know will say, "I know you from somewhere, er.... didn't I see you at blank summer camp?"

34. You go to a job interview... and most of your answers about previous experiences of yours surround things that happened to you as a cadet... (hey that just happened to me! my interview on Tuesday that got me my job... the questions were hard and I couldn't think of anything so I just answered almost every question using examples from when I was a cadet... If it weren't for cadets I'd have no answer for all those questions, and would have not got the job)
35. You assume everyone who is cleanly shaven with short hair or a female with their hair in a bun, was a cadet...

I work for a McDonald's, and I will have to say that IMPs are of better quality than McDonald's food.
You call it a curriculum vitae instead of a résumé
Well, I live in Québec, so I got used into using French terms while I speak in English. Actually, I don't recall hearing the résumé since Secondary 5 (or grade 11 - the last year of High School here). Since then, I've always heard people say CV instead.
Bonne journée à tous!

My CIC app was in 3 months before I retired, I call my supervison Sir and/ or Ma'am depending on whos working. Patrick just revels in being called Sir and Jen HATES it when I call her Ma'am!!! lol

Aye... i've had to live through that twice now. Third time is just around the corner. :(
At our unit, we have one training night per year where 10 lucky cadets get to exchange roles with the officers.

Just out of curiosity...who sent the list up...you might find a good reason there why it hasn't been included ;)
Plus, they still haven't put details of how the bars work. We know it's based on how long you've been on CW, but what exactly are the periods of time to get one more bar? That was supposed to be put on the features, and it's still not done. Hate to break it to you, but I think something about CW is probably a bit higher up on the to-do list than some list that's quite fine where it is ;)
And another idea, CadetWorld is for the cadets. Sure we were cadets at one time, but this place really should be about the current cadets, not us old farts who've aged out and gone. If you can't handle letting them have the attention, there's another good reason not to include this list in features.
The staff has been kind enough to give retired cadets this forum. Is that not good enough? What do you want, a whole message board dedicated to retired cadets (and especially TP of course) Really now...I always tell other people I work with, if you're not here for the cadets, find somewhere else to be.

perhaps in the future you could make it clearer what part of a quote you're referring to? Such as deleting everything but what you're referring to perhaps? I know what you're referring to, but perhaps some people here aren't as familiar as you and I are. And yes, I know how it ended, and I don't think it ended up not too bad. Where do you think this forum came from? If you really have such a big problem with how the idea was used, take it up with Syl (VERY politely I might add). Maybe the person who created that other board could also be responsible for giving the staff reason to remove this forum  Isn't it good enough knowing that someone on staff obviously thought it was a good idea? What do you want to do, go Microsoft on CW and charge licensing fees for your idea  I know I'd be pretty happy if one of my ideas led to the creation of a whole new forum on CW.

In what you quoted, I wasn't even talking about this list. I was talking about your attempt to create a forum. Maybe before you blow up you might want to make sure what you say is at least relevant to the quote you include. I know you intended for this list to go to the Fun Stuff area. Maybe the staff is too busy with other stuff to get it put up. Or maybe they're not putting it up. If you really do have a problem and you really do want to know what the status of your request is, I would suggest talking to Syl. Or one of the other staff.
As for the Korean Transportation Guide, I think we can let the GM put up one thing. Do you want to tell her to take it down cause it's not cadet-related? I sure won't. She's already demonstrated many times that she cares more for the cadets than herself and that she wants to have the focus on the cadets, both on and off the forums.
How many times have you gone into or started a discussion not knowing the facts? Or at the very least being so biased to one idea you didn't bother to review the facts, just opinions of other people of the same bias as you? I'd say most of the political discussions you've started. Not all, but most. Yes I do know what happened with the idea you had to make that message board. If you really want to know why Syl included it here and made you shut yours down, ask her. She'll tell you at least what you need to know, although I wouldn't be surprised if she accused you of beating a dead horse after you tell so many others to stop beating a dead horse ;)

Reason we haven't yet put this list up is because we're waiting for one of you guys to put it all into nice HTML format.
TP sent me a version which needed more corrections than if I'd done it myself, so I sent back a list asking for those to be made, then if he'd be so kind as to send it back, and we'll upload it.
If you don't have the time to make those changes, TP, I suggest somebody else take it on instead. With only two of us working on the non-forums side (and working forums-side, too!), and with Syl away for the summer, and me working, I just don't have time to format everything and do it all myself.
Many thanks, and keep up the good ideas,
