So, I hope to be doing my BMQ in late 2005/early 2006.
Basically, what can I do to prepare? I watched a nice little video on BMQ, helped me quite a bit, but it'd be nice to hear some first hand stuff.
I really have to work on my PT. Namely running and push ups.
So, I guess i'm looking for pretty much all the general BMQ information I can get.
(I'll be joining the Nova Scotia Highlanders, FYI. B Coy, 1st Battalion for those closer to home. lol.)

It cuts alot into your weekend free time and whatnot, and if your still in school you have to really manage your time, but apart from that its not too bad. If you get stressed you have breaks in between training, something you dont get during the summer. I wouldn't worry too much about PT, on the weekend BMQ its really easy, but it'll pick up during SQ and especially during your summer trade course (I assume your going infantry). I'm halfway through my BMQ right now, don't sweat it. But its bed at 12 and up at 5 every day and its intensive in the ammount of info coming at you in a very short time.

I'll be going Infantry, so after SQ it's off to BI..Q or C? Anyways, I hear that's the one that really gets you.
Thanks for the info!

Its BIQ...unless it changed again. We had a little pep talk from a couple of our less insane Cpl's and MCpl's and lets put it this way, make sure your boots are really broken in before the summer. I've heard the horror stories, its a tough course (not as tough as the much longer reg force one but nonetheless....).

A lot of determination, and a little (x a trillion) elbow greese, and i'll get it down.
I'm looking forward to the day I come on here and start a thread in which I scream about passing BIQ. :p
