first 8 weeks or so you won't have the time as that's like recruit course for enlistment. my mates dropped into a black hole then. too busy. once the academic stuff starts and the military stuff winds off you should be right though.
congratulations though. what are you going in as?
JoeyMack

Im going in as a Seaman Officer, so yeah it should be a hoot! Challenging yes, but as I know about 5 of the people (really well) who will be on NEOC with me i know already its going to be soooo much fun!

Its totally different for the Navy types James.... Joe will be going to CRESWELL for 6months then Seaman Officer training for 6 months before joining up at ADFA as a Second Year (First year academic).

Congrats Joe! Good luck with the RAN!
Not to take Joe's thunder or anything, but I got a call today saying I have been offered a place at ADFA doing aero engineering for the RAAF! So at this point in time I'm in a rather strange state of mind, but I'm pretty darn happy!

So at this point in time I'm in a rather strange state of mind, but I'm pretty darn happy! How dare you take my thunder.....I've never been so insulted in my life. Anyone with half a sense of selflessness would start their own topic about themselves. I just can't believe it, who are they airforce accepting these days.....talk about low standards!! :p
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bah that was a big load of cobwobble to get you all stirred up hehehe. I'm honestly not that mean lol.
You take all the thunder you want.....you deserve it! getting an offer from the RAAF is no easy task, and i know for a fact is WAY more competitive than the RAN. CONGRATS and best of luck with everything! Hopefully we'll cross paths at some stage at ADFA! :D :)

Awww thanks guys. I've hit the ground again today (quite literally running), but I'm still sooooo happy! Hopefully we will cross paths at some point at ADFA Joe! I totally wasn't expecting the offer now.
