Well I'm in a Political Research class, 2nd year. We need to come up with a political questions, which we can answer and that can be debatable. I've choosen Is terrorism or climate change more of a threat to (blank). I've had a few ideas for the blank: development in 3rd world countries, Western Society (but I think that's too general), global security (but once again it's still too general).
Basically when we hand in this research proposal and it is accepted. We then have to write a 8-10 page essay on the question and answer. So the question can't be something that a Master's or PhD student answer.
Thanks :)

Or maybe which of the two is more necessary to act upon based on...once again something. Sigh, such a simple task and to me it's hard.

It's all good man. There are lots of things that I find hard that others find easy. Sorry though, I cant be of any help. I ahve no real understanding of the topics that you want to discuss. Just thought I would give you some words of encouragement. :D

That's alright :P
But...it seems like I can't even really do the question I wanted to. It's something I can prove. And what happens with terrorism and climate change is ongoing as well as unpredictable. <sigh>

You don't usually need solid proof for research papers in university (I find anyways), just some evidence to back up your opinion. I guess it depends on your field, and I've only begun intro to politics (human geography's my major).
Just because of my acedemic disposition (my human geography degree is hopefully going to lead to a career in International Development), I'd reccommend doing the development of the 3rd world.
And hey, if you want any extra help with a paper related to development, holla at your boy from winnipeg (lol, I can't believe I just typed that). I've done a lot of research on the topic and can point you in lots of good directions.

What exactly is Political Research? Do you need lots of quantitative info or is it an opinion paper? What have you been covering in class or in your textbooks?
If you need to do research, see what information you can find and then choose a question. I have chosen topics that were too obscure to find information on: this was before the Internet.
Stick to Canada at any rate: info will be easier to find. What exactly is "global security" anways? Maintaining the Status Quo?
