Anyone here taken one or is in one right now?

I think I've finally decided on a college program, after a long search with many different choices and this is what I've come up with:

Anyways, I'd likely end up taking a carpenters aprenticeship after this so I'd just like to hear the inside scoop, your stories, advice, whatever.

Peace

Well im currently studying in the Electrical Technologist trade. From what I understand one you get you're diploma then its up to you to find employment to carry out your apprenticeship.

While you're doing your apprenticeship you record your hours and take classes, I think you need something like 2000 hours to be a certified Journeyperson. But you're getting paid good money while your learning :) So its pretty cool.

Thats about as much as I know about it for now... Once you've completed youtr 2000 or so hours you have to do a test depending on your trade to become a certified journeyperson.

But if anyone has some actual experience as an apprentice, I'd love to hear how it works out.

Iam in school right now for time towards my Aeromechanical Engineering trade. or AME for short..

fun stuff. 2 years of school (in which we write all but one of the exams we need) then 2 years of apprenticehip (we can work during the summer and get time towards but not during school) then one final regulations exam and we have our tickets.. fun stuff
