Involving my Squadron - Tips for getting started?

I have decided I would like to get my squadron involved sending packages or letters over, but I'm not sure where to start.

I know I would have run it by my CO, but after that I'm not sure what to do, how to send the things, who to address them to.. etc.

Does anyone have any tips for getting started?

I have been looking for a similar thread but haven't found one. Perhaps I haven't looked hard enough?
