I'm just curious to know where all of you ex-cadets are that are in the forces either in the Regular or Reserve force. I would have posted a poll to make it a bit easier, but couldn't.
So if you're willing, post your unit (and where it is), trade, rank, how long you have been in, and how long you plan on staying in the forces for. Maybe a few of us will be in the same place and not know it. ;)
Unit: Canadian Forces Naval Engineering School (CFNES) in Halifax, NS
Trade: Naval Electronics Technician (Tactical)
Rank: OS
Joined: February 5th, 2004

I hope that new one doesn't come into effect. I like it how it is with the 20 years.

Hey, you've already joined the Highlanders? That's awesome. I just got a few questions if you don't mind, how long did it take for your papers to go through? As well what is the unit like?

My papers flew through the CFRC (it took me a whole 5, May-Sept, months to do all the joining tests, thats fast for the CFRC). I could have been doing my BMQ/SQ this summer, but for some silly reason I went and did my last summer of cadets as staff. I waited about 3 weeks from my last test for my swearing in ceremony. I've been playing with the regimental band as an associate for quite a while, and its a good regiment and your good for joining now, they want to set up a second rifle coy in the west end of Ottawa at a new location, so they're on a massive recruiting drive at the moment. Thats about it. PM me for more.
