Last night while workin me and my co workers were talking ab out "good movies" and one of them was so hung up on dumb and dumber as a good movie, i nearly gaged at taht thought, when i say good movie i meen something with a meaning and a point, somethiung like american beauty, or big fish, or Relax it's just sex, waht are some other good movies taht you know and like,

by the by i highly recommend relax it's just sex, it deals mainly with gay couples, and aids, but it's funny, witty, sad, and heart breaking all in one, but well worth the money

I like weird artsy movies. A Clockwork Orange was good, but quite disturbing. I really like David Lynch's movies as well (Mullholland Drive, Lost Highway, Blue Velvet).

Another great movie (I thought) was Brazil. It's a movie by Terry Gilliam (they guy who did the animation for Monty Python, and the guy who made Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas) about a dystopic future. Kind of a 1984-ish type of thing.

I love Monty Python movies, as well as a bunch that have already been mentioned: Big Fish, American Beauty, Forrest Gump, LOVED Dogma, and that's all I can think of right now... there are lots of great movies out there.

My personal favorite movie is Arlington Road, that movie really makes you think and has the biggest twist for an ending

What's wrong with Dumb and Dumber? It was the funniest movie in the world to me when I was in Grade 5...

I also liked American Beauty and Clockwork Orange, and also enjoy anything by Woody Allen, Martin Scorsese or Quentin Tarantino. I watched some David Lynch, but can't make sense of any of it. Maybe I'm not smart enough. :o

I'd still have to say the Lord of the Rings triology is definately up there on the list of great movies.

It took me three viewsings to understand Mullholldand drive (and even after that my film studies friend had to explain a few bits of it to me). I thought it was pretty artistic once I got it.

mmmm.....have to agree with Emily on Dogma...growing up in a Catholic family, and my mum who is quite involved, and she liked it!

Tarantino has great stuff too....

Hollywood/Bollywood (or is it the other way around  )Is deffinately a must see movie if you like canadian movies with Indian families (from India). Its about a family in Toronto and the oldest son forced to get ingaged to an indian girl so his sister (who is pregnant) can finally marry her fiance. The only thing is is that he hires an "escort" to pose as his fiance! and pays her like 6 thousand dollars....all in canadian funds :D

Also one of my favorites is Bend It like Beckham :D

And Dogma cause its soo well put together!

Whatever you do, don't take the "your mom" approach to it. Apparently they frown upon that sort of behavior here at Cadet World.
