have you ever been enlightened as to how some famous people are real people just like the rest of us??
for example, the other day on life and times (I think that's the program) on cbc, Steve Smith (aka Red Green) was documented.. very interesting to say the least..
I've also met Jerry Orbach (of law and order fame) and played a little golf with him... very nice guy...

Steve Smith is cool......
Then you have your superstars, who I consider to be (universally) snobby *******s (the fact that some may not be is irrelevant).

Hmmm... most celebrities are just normal people. I think Kevin Richardson(BSB) is a very down-to-earth type of person. My thoughts, though.
I think Paris Hilton is definitely one of those snobby superstars. And Christina Aguilera. Like, do we need to know what kind of underwear turns her on..pfft.

The saddest part is, a lot of media treats this like news (FOX, for example), and a lot of people who watch said media are stupid enough to care. Otherwise there'd be no market for idiot-rag tabloids.
MTV and Muchmusic, with their endless stupid bio shows, don't help much either. And the masses eat it up!

And what did she do to become famous, other than be rich? Makes me mad. She's nothing at all special, but yet she's so famous. At least Christina can sing.
I've met Mario Andretti and Mike (Pinball) Clemons. Cool guys.

..i think there are more important things in this world than famous people, and discussing them..the media/the press protrays these people in such a way it makes a small part of us want to be like them, or envy them...and all i can say is meh..their fabricated, and like its been said before its for the masses..and we eat it all up just like everything else....so its all meh to me
Heres to Spongebob'init!!!!

enlightened...no....because "famous" people are like the rest of us..they have no super powers....just a talent to entertain and they happen to get paid millions of dollers because of it and a lavish lifesyle.....they are no different then you and I..no matter how we look at it....it wouldnt say enlightenment....id say finally realized...the word enlightenment should be reserved for the few who have found nirvana, or have stepped outside of the "box" and are looking at life and the world with their blinders removed....but this is just me :D :D and my own opinion....i pre apoligize if this get taken the wrong way (gotta cma :p )

ALL celebrities are normal, regular people. I dunno why everybody be so star struck. I aint met either of those 2 guys u mentioned, but I have met Dr. Dre, Busta Rhymes (actually gotta kick it with him for a whole day), Spice One (y'all gotta really follow hiphop to know who im talkin bout) , DJ Kay Slay, Wesley Snipes (that dude dont know how to dress), 50 Cent (that was like just last week, he was up here on the G Unit Beg For Mercy tour, gotta go back stage and ****, while i was there i holla'd at Lloyd Banks and Young Buck too, saw David Banner but i aint actually talked to him). **** I could go on for ever, I know a ton of people who prolly gonna be famous real quick, its just another way to get paid. For most people I met, the fame is the hardest part to deal with, they aint in it to be famous, its all bout doin what they like to do and gettin that paycheck, the fame is just something that goes with the job.

Not to say that I don't believe you, Kris. I know enough people who've mixed with big names. But that ^^ was funny. :)

I met Anne Murray! Oh my god it was amazing! She sang snowbird, and then some Christmas Carols, and, it was just LOVELY!!
NOTE: I do not, have not, and will never, like Anne Murray's singing. It is horrid. I HAVE seen her, I worked at the Springhill Music Fest. She's nice. Can't stand her singing, but she's nice. (Yeah, im from her hometown, so chances are im going to see her. :P)

Hey, if you were from Timmins, chances are, you wouldn't have met Shania Twain.. :p
My dad used to kind of know Anne Murray, he went to Uni with her brother.
