Ok, so I LOVE DCI (drum corps International) and I would definetly suggest it to anyone who doesn't know about it :eek: (could there be such people?hah)

I just wanted to know who your favorite bands were, if anyone even watches this stuff. Some examples are the Cavaliers, the Cadets (not cadet-cadets), the Blue devils, the Glassmen, the Boston Crusaders, ect.

If you can get ahold of any DCI tapes, watch them! Most bands have AMAZING drill and music!! WOOOO!!!! GO BAND!!!!

I had to work throughout the satellite showing on tv this year... and my step mom was suppost to tape it for me... but she didn't! (Oh the inhumanity!) I heard it was an amazing show this year... I was on Staff with Andrew Thies, and he went down on his weekend leave with some CI's to see it live. I soo want to go sometime, but I don't have the money. lol!

Last years was great... the Blue Devils had an amazing sound to them... but over all, I'm a Cavalier fan. They seem to be the Blackdown favourite, at least, to the CLI/Senior Band Staff... and our band. Say hi to Michaud and Pineda... and deWitt... and Laura and Albert... and Andrew (I know, he's aged out... but still)... and Gaudry... and the rest of my B-down minions. lol!

I can say hi to Thies, Gaudry, the Passmore's and deWit (who won top DM at banp comp this year!), but who's Michaud and Pineda? Oh well, if I see them, I'll say hi anyways. haha. WOO :eek: :eek:
(Im so happy too, cause thanks to Thies, our drum line got new drums this year. The same drums the Blue Devils use! and I have quints now. HOLY!)

Of course deWit won... does that mean he gets to spend another year at that DM camp in the States? How many of the former B-down survivors are returning, do you know? I want to see all my little minions from last summer! lol!

YUP!!! That's David Pineda alright... he was one of my cadets last summer. Tell him to have a blast, and I want to see pictures eventually. I still can't believe I turned it down last year! :eek: I'm soo proud of him! I'll soo miss him at Blackdown this summer. *Sniff*

Haha, they sure are sweet drums. Hmm, I know Jason Ytsma is staff at Blackdown this year, but I don't remeber anyone else going to Blackdown this summer. If I hear anything, i'll let you know! Hrmm...I think Laura Passmore is going? And De Wit is retiring from Drum Major!!! He says he has to move on. Yowsers, crazy kids!! He's only 16!!!! What a marshmellow!

Ah... good ol' ex bf Ytsma... yay! I get to see him again! That's awesome... another one to tell I say hi... now I'm getting excited... I get to see like everyone from "UP TOP" again. I love camp (and your Sqd... I swear... if it was closer than it is -about 2 hours away- I'd soo transfer).

Wow... Cory's retiring... well, he's has a good run with it. I'm soo proud of my boy!

Forget this, Im moving to America!!! Wow, I wish my school had a marching band. Hmm, wait no, we're not even good enough to have a band. Haha. You get to waer uniforms, right? I'd love to see that. Or maybe Im insane. Either way, Im gonna see a marching band someday. (insert creepy crying face here)

OOH! and did you like the movie "DRUMLINE" or not?

Persoanlly, I didn't like it, cause thats not what my band is about, and I don't think thats how DCI works either. Some good drum solos yes, but nothing compared to the 'real stuff'. AIGHT G!!! Thats it.

I'm hoping to GOD that your school is SMU edmonds... that or they expand next year... oh wait... nevermind... I don't play brass and my drums suck... but it would be cool to be in.
