Slideshows with music

I can take the pictures on my computer and make them into a slideshow, but what I don't know how to do is to add music. Can anyone out there tell me how?

in microsoft power point all you have to do is click, insert, then movies and sounds, then sound from file then select the music that you want to play, hit ok.

then right click the speaker icon that appears and click custom animation. on the animation list click the song then there is a little down arrow, select effect options.
in that screen click stop playing after as many slides as you have then it ok.

Or, using Apple iMovie:
Import the photos to iPhoto, then arrange them as you like... then edit it like you would a video... KEN BURNS EFFECT!! WOOT!! and import audio. Yum.

it all depends on the program you are using ...it is in different places on different programs

So what program ARE you using?

OR... you can do it my less-than-computer-literate way... start the slide show and press the play button on the CD player!!! :D

I'm not going to use powerpoint. I was planing to make one like the one that my uncle sent us at christmas. I'll add the link to it later.
