For those interested there is Marine programs at 4 different colleges in canada, the programs are:
Marine Navigation
Marine Engineering
These programs are run by Transport Canada and the colleges are on the east coast, quebec, Ontario (Georgian College), and one in BC Both programs are very demanding and require 90% minimum attendance if you have any questions just reply to this thread or send me a message.

There are more than just Marine Engineering on the East Coast. At the Marine Institute we have:
Nautical Science
Naval Architecture
Marine Engineering Systems Design
Marine Environmental Technology
Marine Diesel Mechanics (certificate)
Bridge Watch (certificate)
Not to jump in on your thread or anything.. but I go to this school, so if anyone is interested,

On that same note there are several colleges in BC offering marine engineering, marine design, marine electrical etc. programs. Not sure where you found your info but it's not quite right TACSTC Sailor

well yes my info is correct baker just incomplete there is a difference. As for marine engineering its only 4 schools that transport canada supports the certification from and that is the cerificate you need to sail on any merchant ship under canadian flag.

My mistake, I missed the "approved by Transport Canada". Otherwise there are a number of other programs:
