I must be super cool (not)
its all to do with the Dawlish Carnival Air Show, many of you may not of heard of it but for those who dont, here is a short describtion of it;
The Dawlish air show is part of Dawlish Carnival week, an event that has been held in the Devon seaside resort for over 50 years. In 1995 the committee were able to secure a display from the RAF Red Arrows Display Team. It has since grown to an airshow with over 3 hours of flying activities including annual slots by the Utterly Butterly Wing Walkers, the Red Arrows and has played host in the past to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, The RAF Falcons, HM Coastguard search and rescue displays and numerous other single aircraft display from various RAF squadrons and civilian flying clubs.
The show has reached such a size now that we have formed an airshow sub-committee of Dawlish Carnival and a flight safety committee consisting of various representatives from the military, civil aviation, the town and the carnival committee.
We aim to extend the 2004 event to a 6-hour long series of displays together with two static display areas in the town. The display line in on Dawlish Sea Front and stretches along a 2.5km length of sandy beach in front of the main London – Plymouth railway, it attracts crowds in excess of 50,000 from all around the world and is one of the biggest free air shows of its kind. The crowds line the beach, sea wall and surrounding cliffs as well as in the town itself.

C-150 II
C-152
C-172 (Like L,M,N and P I think)
Piper Warrior
SGS-233A
Sgs-233
and aparently but I don't believe it SGS-233AK (one of the pilots I went on course with claims one of the a/c was kit built not factory and carries the designation "AK"
I've logged time in all of those.
I've been in lots of Civie passenger jets and going places with cadets I've travel C-130 Herc and in the Polaris (I think its some kind of 707) really liked flying in the Dash 8.

Ok, planes I've actually flown at least once from take-off to landing:
In Canada:
Cessna 152
Cessna 152 Aerobat
Cessna 172
Schweizer 2-33A
In the UK:
Grob-109B Vigilant
Grob 103 Viking
I'm only checked out on the Cessnas. Conveniently, I've only ever flown solo on those planes as well. I've flown a few times in a Katana, but not from take-off... but I did land it...
I am not a pilot, but I have flown in a couple of aircraft before:
C-130 (tail number 130341)
Cessna 150 and 172 (for those of you who know of my girth, I was very uncomfortable in the 150)
Schweitzer 2-32 Glider
Dash 8
A319
A320
A340
737
767
Fokker F28
I also have been offered a ride in a CF-18....a bottle of Hennessy, a couple of glasses and a closed Officer's Mess are all it takes people!

OH MAN!!!! THE LITTLE 150. I took one for a transit flight from one ap to another close by and it was a squeeze. Iam not huge but the other pilot with me is pretty small and it was sorta "Oh hello there"
Hmmm... I've flown...
C-150
C-172
C-172RG
C-182
Piper Warrior
Piper Arrow
couple of ultra-lights...
It sucked that one day the gear wouldn't retract in the Arrow. Better than it not going down, I say.

60 some odd hours of Cessna 172 time. I flew a modded version that had only 30 degrees of flap. Fun to fly but expensive. Here's hoping rental fees drop and instructors too so I can re-gain my currency.

right now Iam renting a 172 for $100hr. but someone tipped me off to a Belanca Cetabria (Same thing ALMOST as a Scout) near by that is $130hr with and instructor he said. trying to look it up on the net but so far unsuccesfull

yeah, we used to have a cetab over here at my local flying club but they sold it... It was a sick little plane, I flew in it once, unforgettable...but something about insurance reasons was why they sold it. That, and rental here was too expensive, even more so than the 172

yeah, other than the poor taxing visibility, taildraggers could be fun... well I guess Windsor was an oddball club then because their cetab time costed more than a 172... Maybe its because there was only one. I really couldnt tell you

Maybe I'm missing something with this whole thread, but how does a 15 year old fly an aircraft (Tutor) that has been out of service since 2000 (you were 10) with the exception of the Snowbirds who don't do famil rides very often?
There's also 16 yr olds claiming to have flown Spitfires? BS.
So, what am I missing?

Hahaa Ya this list does seem pretty far feched for a 15 year old but believe it or not that list is all true. The Tutor ride is a long story but our friend Bill Lamberton owns a restored Tutor that was retired many years ago. I was very lucky to get a ride in it and even fly it last summer and it was a blast :)
As for the rest of the list I am fortunate that my family is in aviation and have had to opportunity to fly some really cool airplanes.

Alright, I'll buy that, but those were all rides, you never took off or landed any of them?
I guess my definition of flying an aircraft is a little different than those that have posted in this thread. To me, flying straight and level or having your hands on the controls does not equate to "flying" the aircraft. I've had passengers "flying" the aircraft, when in fact I'm the one doing the flying and stopping us from getting killed.
I think my favourite post so far was the 16 year old that claims to have flown not only the Concord, but also the Spitfire and 1 of the 2 flying Lancasters left on the entire planet. Well done lad.

Lots of interesting types you guys have flown! As a cadet I wanted so badly to fly every airplane I could get my hands on. Well the battle continues and now I have an Airline Transport Pilot Licence so it will be interesting to come back here in a year or two and see what I can add to the list.
As pilot:
the usual suspects C172, C152, C150, A150, C182, C210, C206 (currently on occasion at work), 2-33, L13, Std Jantar, DuoDiscus, Citabra 7ECA+7KCAB, Decathlon, Scout, C172 taildragger!, Beaver RX-550, Skyseeker MkII, Aeronca Champ
King Air 200 1300 HDC set up for medevac (+1000hrs, love that plane)
King Air 90 (PT6-28) - current work machine (a real hot-rod)
Piper Navajo PA 31-350 - current work machine
I will be gettting my hands on a Twin Otter at work in the future! Looks like fun, slow as heck though.
